In 2014, Carrie H. Pailet joined forces with Keren Gesund to form Gesund & Pailet, APLC. Drawn to the multitude of issues facing our elderly population and with a desire to provide services that are both comprehensive and compassionate, in 2012 Carrie Pailet founded the firm of Carrie H. Pailet, APLC, in Metairie, Louisiana, where her area of practice focused on elder law, including estate planning and successions. In addition to being an attorney licensed in Louisiana, she is also a licensed clinical social worker, where her area of practice has focused on the field of gerontology. Ms. Pailet is a member of the Louisiana Elder Law Task Force and serves on the boards of Louisiana Guardianship Services, Inc. and the Bruce J. Heim Foundation.
Ms. Pailet earned her B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.S.W. degree from Tulane University School of Social Work, where she served as a representative for the School of Social Work on the Graduate and Professional Student Association. Ms. Pailet earned her J.D. degree from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court and Loyola’s Journal of Public Interest Law. An adjunct professor for the course “Elder and Disabled Law” at Loyola University College of Law, Ms. Pailet also co-authored the book entitled Estate Planning in Louisiana, published by Thomson Reuters.
