MERIT FINANCIAL’S ENRICH CONFERENCE 2026: DEEPENING PARTNERSHIPS

April 2, 2026

Last week, our team had the privilege of attending Merit Financial Advisors’ annual internal conference, Enrich 2026. The three-day gathering brought together Merit’s advisors, leadership, and partners to share ideas, align on strategy, and invest in the future of their practice. It was an energizing experience, and one that reaffirmed just how much we value the partnership we’ve built with the Merit Financial team.

Hargrove Firm and NetLaw served as a Silver Sponsor at this year’s conference, a reflection of our ongoing commitment as Merit Financial’s estate planning services partner. Representing our team were Alex Hargrove, CEO of NetLaw; Samantha Chevalier, Estate Planning Attorney at Hargrove Firm; and Mo Zoubi, Director of Relationship Management at Hargrove Firm.

The Power of Immersive Partnership

One of the most meaningful aspects of attending a conference like Enrich is the opportunity to go deeper with one of our advisory firm partners. We get to learn firsthand about the unique challenges their advisors face, understand the goals driving their practice, and identify how we can best show up to support them and their clients.

Estate planning is most impactful when it’s truly integrated into a client’s broader financial picture. That kind of integration doesn’t happen by accident. It takes strong relationships, shared vision, and a deep understanding of how both sides work. Events like Enrich give us the chance to build exactly that.

“Partnerships like this one work best when our visions are aligned– when both sides are working toward the same goal of delivering exceptional, comprehensive planning to clients. Being at Enrich reinforced that we and Merit Financial are absolutely pointed in the same direction.” — Alex Hargrove, CEO, NetLaw

Our Breakout Session: Advanced Estate Planning Strategies to Elevate Your High-Net-Worth Practice

We were thrilled to host a breakout session at this year’s conference on “Advanced Estate Planning Strategies to Elevate Your High-Net-Worth Practice.” The session drew a strong turnout, and we were impressed by the quality of questions and the level of engagement from the Merit advisors in the room.

Our session covered the full spectrum of estate planning services available to Merit advisors and their clients, from foundational planning packages to sophisticated strategies for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Highlights included:

  • Attorney-Led Estate Planning: Samantha walked through how Hargrove Firm’s approach keeps the advisor and client at the center of every engagement, with licensed attorneys across all 50 states ensuring clients receive expert, state-specific counsel without friction.
  • Family Protection Planning: We explored irrevocable trust strategies for clients in the $2M–$20M range, covering how properly structured trusts can keep wealth in the family bloodline, protected from divorce, creditors, and estate taxes across generations.
  • Business and Estate Planning for Illiquid Estates: Through a detailed case study, we walked through an LLC plus trust structure that allows clients to transfer significant value out of their taxable estate while retaining full operational control. A powerful tool for clients with family businesses or real estate holdings.
  • Private Wealth Counsel: For more complex estates, we discussed our fully customizable Private Wealth Counsel service, which encompasses advanced strategies including SLATs, ILITs, IDGTs, Charitable Trusts, and more.

“Estate planning is attorney-led, but the advisor and client are always at the center of what we do. Our goal is to make this process seamless and collaborative so advisors can confidently bring estate planning into client conversations knowing their clients are in expert hands.” — Samantha Chevalier, Estate Planning Attorney, Hargrove Firm

Building Relationships That Make Advisors Succeed

Beyond the breakout session, Enrich offered invaluable time to connect face-to-face with Merit advisors. To listen, learn, and understand what they need most from us as their estate planning partner. That kind of relationship-building is at the heart of everything we do.

Every advisory firm is different. The advisors at Merit have their own practice styles, their own client bases, and their own ways of approaching complex planning conversations. Connecting at Enrich gave us an even clearer picture of how to show up for them in a way that actually fits how they work.

Whether it’s helping an advisor think through the right estate planning package for a long-time client, working through a complex high-net-worth case together, or simply being a resource advisors feel comfortable calling, our team is committed to being present and responsive throughout the entire relationship. The goal is always to make estate planning feel like a natural extension of what the advisor already does for their clients.

Looking Ahead: A Partnership Built to Last

We left Enrich 2026 energized and grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the conference, for the warm reception from the Merit team, and for the continued trust that Merit Financial places in Hargrove Firm and NetLaw as their estate planning services partner.

Our commitment to Merit’s advisors and their clients remains unwavering. As high-net-worth clients grow increasingly complex in their planning needs, from multi-generational wealth transfer to business succession and beyond, we’re here to ensure every client gets the attorney-led estate planning they deserve, delivered in a way that strengthens the advisor-client relationship.

We look forward to continuing to grow alongside Merit Financial, supporting their advisors, and helping their clients build lasting legacies.

“My focus is making sure every Merit advisor knows we’re here for them. Not just as a service provider, but as a true partner. If there’s a client situation that needs attention, a conversation they want to have, or a resource they need, we want to be the team that helps them deliver. That’s what being a great partner looks like.” — Mo Zoubi, Director of Relationship Management, Hargrove Firm
