“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” With over a decade of experience as a successful litigator, Kelly developed a deep understanding of the meaning behind this old proverb spoken by Benjamin Franklin. With an understanding of the importance of proper planning and a desire to help her clients avoid unwanted outcomes, Kelly was drawn to the area of Estate Planning. In 2020, Kelly opened a solo practice where she assisted her clients with developing and implementing their estate plans.

Kelly joined Hargrove Firm in July of 2021. In her practice at the firm, Kelly continues to assist her clients with the development and implementation of their estate plans. In addition, she provides counsel to the firm’s high-net-worth clientele regarding their tax, business and estate planning needs, particularly when the sale of a business is involved.

Kelly was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Following graduation from Assumption High School, she attended the University of Louisville, earning her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1998. After joining the workforce, Kelly decided to go back to school and obtained her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2007.
